Spa Etiquette and What to Expect at Privai

Whether it's your first spa visit or your hundredth, knowing what to expect makes the difference between a good experience and a truly restorative one. At Privai Spa, every detail is designed to help you arrive relaxed and leave restored. Here's everything you need to know before your visit.

How to prepare for your spa visit

Arrive early

Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled service. This gives you time to check in, stow your belongings, and begin transitioning into a relaxed state before your treatment starts.

Dress comfortably

Wear comfortable, loose clothing to your appointment. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. The spa provides everything you need for your treatment.

Share your health history

Let your therapist know about any injuries, surgeries, medications, or medical conditions before your service begins. Some treatments may be contraindicated. Your therapist will customize accordingly.

Silence your phone

Please silence or turn off cell phones and electronic devices when you arrive, as a courtesy to other guests and to help you fully disconnect and enjoy your experience.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING +

Privai requests 24 hours advance notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full amount of the scheduled service.

Late arrivals will result in an abbreviated service so that we can honor the schedule of the guests who follow. The full service fee still applies.

ARRIVAL +

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled service. This gives you time to check in, change, and begin transitioning into a relaxed state before your treatment starts.

If you are visiting Privai for the first time, please allow a few extra minutes to complete a brief intake form.

SERVICE CHARGE & ADDITIONAL GRATUITY +

A 20% service charge is automatically added to all services at Privai Spa. This charge supports the therapists, estheticians, and team members who provide your service.

Additional gratuity for exceptional service is always welcome and can be added at checkout.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS +

Please inform your therapist of any injuries, surgeries, medications, allergies, or medical conditions before your treatment begins. Some treatments may be contraindicated based on your health history.

If you are pregnant, recently postpartum, or have any chronic condition, let us know at the time of booking so we can match you with the appropriate therapist and treatment.

Your therapist will customize your service to ensure your comfort, safety, and the best possible result.

FOR YOUR COMFORT +

Your comfort is our priority. If at any point during your treatment you would like the pressure adjusted, the temperature changed, the music altered, or the lighting modified, please let your therapist know. They are there to make your experience exactly what you need.

If you have a preference for a specific therapist or treatment style, please mention it when booking.

FOR THE COMFORT OF OTHERS +

The spa is a sanctuary. Please silence or turn off cell phones and electronic devices when you arrive, and keep conversations soft and respectful throughout your visit.

Children are welcome for age-appropriate services with an accompanying parent or guardian. Please contact the spa directly if you would like to book a service for a guest under 18.

CLEANLINESS & SANITATION STANDARDS +

Masks are optional. Guests and team members may choose to wear a mask if they prefer. If you would prefer your provider to wear a mask during your service, please inform the spa concierge. We continue to monitor each city and state's guidelines and ordinances in compliance with OSHA and CDC recommendations.

Booking appointments. All guests are asked to answer a brief symptom questionnaire upon booking and to sign an electronic waiver each visit.

Sanitized. All areas are thoroughly disinfected before and after each service. High-contact areas are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. Medical-grade sanitizer is available for all guests and team members. All spa disinfectants are EPA-approved and certified.

Our cleanliness standards

Every treatment room at Privai is thoroughly disinfected before and after each service using EPA-approved, certified spa disinfectants. Medical-grade sanitizer is available throughout the spa for all guests and team members. High-contact areas are cleaned continuously throughout the day. Contactless payment is available at checkout.
