
HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!
Cinco de Mayo Guacamole
What you will need:
4 avocados – they should be soft to the touch, but not squishy.
1/3 cup diced grape tomatoes
6-8 cloves garlic
1 lemon
Salt, cumin, chili powder, and cayenne to taste
Start by cutting up your avocados. Mash them up with a mortar and pestle, and set aside in a bowl.
Next, dice your tomatoes. We generally cut lengthwise first and then vertically into smaller pieces. Add them to the bowl.
Mince your garlic. A garlic press works best, but cutting works too.
Lastly, add the juice of a lemon. Roll the lemon on your countertop before cutting open to get the juices flowing. Remember to cut out the seeds before squeezing on top.
Mix in seasonings and enjoy!
Cinco de Mayo guacamole. Serves 4.
